Can I Pray for you?

So I thought about making Mondays a day to ask others if I could pray for them. I do enjoy praying, and for others as well! Praying for others helps us stay humble, less focused on us or our issues. Staying focused on ourselves creatives a whirlpool of negativity. Have you ever tried to get out of a whirlpool at a water theme park? It takes MUCH effort and usually a helping hand! Negative thoughts are poisonous to our soul. The longer we spend focused on the bad stuff we slowly or even at times quickly sink into the quick sand of hoplessness.

Retraining negative thoughts is tough, doable, but still tough! Anything worth doing for a positive change takes work! I am still on this very steep hill of retraining my thoughts. Just as

Philippians 4 : 8 states, And now, dear brothers and sisters, let me say one more thing as I close this letter. Fix your thoughts on what is true and honorable and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and praise worthy.

This is easy when your on a beautiful nature hike listening to the peaceful song of nature as the refreshing breeze of cool sweet smelling air fills your lungs…. not so easy when kids are screaming, dogs barking, sirens blasting the air every few minutes off to save someone. The hustle and bustle of every day chaos, the glance in a reflective window as you walk by and notice your 2 second outfit choice not so stunning as you thought in the dark closet at 5 am!

The verse in Philippians does not have small print saying “only when life is good”

For me, not being happy about my current pysical weight its very hard to look in the mirror with a lovely thought! I do know I am not “healthy” I do also understand I am still loved by God and others despite the way I look.

Changing my thoughts towards myself is very hard…. marathon runners can not just up and run a 5k with out practice!

Monday’s remind me to ask my Lord for help! It might take less muscles to smile but more brain muscles to smile on Monday!

Like I mention first, I love to pray for others. If you would like prayer please feel free to either leave it in the comments, or on my page there is a contact me area you can send it as well.

I pray you all have a blessed week. Remember to say something nice to your self every day!
