People Watching
Yes, this sounds a bit creepy stalkerish. As I am sitting at the park in the shade of a soaring ever green pine tree, enjoying the spring breeze breeth its sent of freshly cut grass, and blooming flowers that bring the natural aroma of Gods perfumed forrest to life, I casually “people watch.”
People watching is an interesting and questionable experience. I can not help but be overwhelmed with Gods grace watching his designs walk by as they casually curse their very maker. The polluted sounds of hearing people talk so angrily and full of cursing. People who are missing the joyous natural beauty this day has brought.
I rarely see adults with pure joy on their face, enjoying the moment. People who are so anxiously trying not to make eye contact with another in hopes of not having to be forced to have an authentic conversation. Is a smile really that frightening? I can totally see how people can go through life thinking they are invisible.
Have you ever tried to smile at everyone you look at? Have you noticed how it usually lightens their face? Its amazing how our God can keep track of us all on an intimate level, to even know how many hairs are on our heads.
Luke 12:7 (NIV)
7 Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
Watching all these people, who are strangers to me pass by with out even a care of who I am, knowing that God knows how many hairs are on their head…. wow amazing!
